Description

Logo de la marque Rekor, spécialiste des soins pour les chevaux.

100% natural, Rekor Clay Powder is intended for the maintenance of the horse's limbs.

Bentonite Clay is made up of 75% smectite (or montmorillonite), 15% illite and 10% kaolinite. It is a special combination that benefits from the best of each of these three families of clays to offer very interesting and sought-after properties in many areas of application.

Rekor Clay powder is particularly recommended:

Externally:

  • To promote the recovery of tendons and joints after an effort thanks to its astringent properties
  • In case of engorgement of the limbs
  • To soothe and relieve after a trauma: blow, contusion, haematoma
  • To soothe lesions due to summer dermatitis: the clay will form a protective plaster on the affected area

Internally:

  • To cleanse and detoxify the body
  • To stop microbial proliferation in the gut
  • As a preventive measure for horses with a history of gastric mucosa sensitivity

Economical, its powdered form allows you to create the texture and mixture that suits you!

Composition

100% pure food grade clay: smectite 75%, illite 15%, kaolinite 10%.

Directions for use

Externally:

The area to be treated must be carefully showered and wiped beforehand.

1-Prepare the plaster by diluting the clay powder in water to obtain the desired consistency. It is preferable to mix with a wooden spoon and in a plastic or glass bowl rather than in a metal container, as oxidation can alter the properties of the clay.

2-Apply the plaster to the skin, without rubbing. Do not hesitate to go well beyond the area to be treated and apply a thick layer (at least 1 cm thick). Then smooth the hair in the right direction.

3-Leave the plaster in the open air if a drying effect is desired (drying of a wound for example). Otherwise, and for a prolonged effect, cover the plaster with a protective bandage, usually newspaper or paper towel and a strip of cloth, then wrap the whole thing with a resting bandage. Avoid placing the plaster under plastic film such as cellophane.

Internally:

15 gr of clay in ¼ litre of water. Shake, leave for 30 min and give the clay water (without the clay paste) in the ration or drinking water.

Maximum duration of administration 3 weeks.

Precautions for use

Raw material for animal feed.

Store the powdered clay in a cool, dry place and away from light.

Be sure to close the jar tightly after use.

Prepare only the quantity of clay needed.
