Description

Featuring a tongue relief for added comfort, the Metalab long shank tongue passage Weymouth Bit is particularly suitable for horses with sensitive or thick tongues.

By freeing up maximum space in the horse's mouth, the thin mouthpiece with a tongue port of this bit reduces pressure on the tongue.

With its long shanks, the Metalab long shank tongue passage Weymouth Bit is a type of curb bit known as a L'hotte bit, which has a more significant leverage effect than a bit with short shanks. Its strong lowering action makes it a severe bit.

Typically used in dressage, this bit is recommended for experienced riders.

Adjusting the curb chain can vary the severity of the bit.

The curb chain should be laid flat, in contact and allow a 45° angle between the shanks and the axis of the mouth.

The use of a curb chain guard is recommended to protect the sensitive bone of the lower jaw.
