Description

Equipped with a tongue passage for added comfort, the Metalab short shanks Weymouth Bit is particularly suitable for horses with sensitive tongues or thick tongues.

By freeing up as much space as possible in the horse's mouth, this bit's slim mouthpiece with tongue passage reduces the pressure exerted on the tongue.

With its short shanks, the Metalab short shank Weymouth bit is a L'hotte weymouth bit with less leverage than a long shank bit. It remains a severe bit due to its lowering role.

Generally used in dressage, this bit is recommended for experienced riders.

The curb chain can be adjusted to vary the hardness of the bit.

The curb chain should be flat and in contact with the bit, allowing for a 45° angle between the limbs and the axis of the mouth.

The use of a curb chain guard is recommended to protect the sensitive bone of the lower jaw.
