Description

The Thiedman Norton Pro side reins is also known as the Howlett side reins. It allows a good orientation of the horse while preserving his locomotion, his neck and his back.

It is the combination of a martingale with fork and reins strap equipped with 3 rings.

The action of the Thiedman Norton Pro side reins is comparable to the German reins. The difference is that the reins are fixed directly on the bit. This allows the rider to have only one pair of reins in hand.

By adjusting the length of his reins the rider influences the position of the head of his horse.

The Thiedman Norton Pro side reins is placed with a leather strap which one passes through the bit's rings and clings to the reins.

The position which is chosen to attach the reinforcement determines the opening of the head / neck angle.

In addition to the reins, the Thiedman Norton Pro side reins is entirely made of buffalo leather.

Oil new leathers with oil. Clean regularly with glycerine soap. Feed with balm or leather fat.

According to the International Equestrian Federation, an equine measuring less than 1.48 meters, not shod, is considered a pony. If it measures more than 1.48 meters, it is classified as a horse.
The pony category is divided into 4 sub-categories based on their height at the withers, not shod.
Category A = height less than 1.07 meters
Category B = height between 1.08 and 1.30 meters
Category C = height between 1.31 and 1.40 meters
Category D = height between 1.41 and 1.48 meters
