Description

Made from stainless steel and rubber, the Metalab Rubber Pelham Bit has a simple break. Well accepted by most horses, rubber is recommended for young horses and horses with sensitive mouths. 

However, this material is quite fragile and can be damaged very quickly or as the horse chews.

On this model, the rubber covering the barrels is rigid, which limits wear.

The Metalab Rubber Pelham Bit can be used with 1 or 2 pairs of reins or Pelham rings.

Its leverage effect on the neck can vary depending on the anchoring point of the reins.

The curb chain can be adjusted to vary the hardness of the bit.

The curb chain should lie flat, in contact with the bit and allow a 45° angle between the limbs and the axis of the mouth.

The use of a curb chain guard is recommended to protect the sensitive bone of the lower jaw.
