Description

With its straight, rigid rubber mouthpiece, this Pelham Metalab bit offers a softer contact than a steel bit and is particularly suitable for sensitive horses.

The straight design of the mouthpiece contributes to an even distribution of pressure on the tongue and provides a feeling of stability.

Thanks to the combination of leverage and curb chain, the Metalab Rigid Rubber Straight Pelham bit gives the rider greater control.

It's the perfect bit to get a quick response when riding hot and/or powerful horses.

Depending on the anchoring point of the reins there will be 2 different effects:

Lowering if the reins are attached to the lower rings

Slightly lifting when attached to the main rings.

The longer the branches of the Pelham, the greater the leverage.

The curb chain can be adjusted to vary the hardness of the bit.

The curb chain should lie flat, in contact with the bit and allow a 45° angle between the limbs and the axis of the mouth.

The use of a curb chain guard is recommended to protect the sensitive bone of the lower jaw.
