Description

Featuring a rolling centrepiece, the Metalab Elite Straight Pelham Bit helps the horse concentrate, chew and relax its mouth.

Elite bits offer great comfort and promote good communication between the rider's hand and the horse's mouth.

Mounted on long shanks, the Metalab Elite Straight Pelham Bit acts on the horse's tongue, neck and lower jaw to ensure better control of very hot or powerful horses.

Its leverage effect on the neck can vary depending on where the reins are anchored.

This bit can be used with 1 or 2 pairs of reins or Pelham rings.

The Pelham bit is recommended for experienced riders.

Made from stainless steel, the Metalab Elite Straight Pelham Bit has a leather-covered curb chain for extra comfort.

The curb chain can also be adjusted to vary the hardness of the bit.

The curb chain should lie flat, in contact and allow a 45° angle between the limbs and the axis of the mouth.

The use of a bit guard is recommended to protect the sensitive bone of the lower jaw.

Maintenance tips

Rinse with clean water after each use until no residue remains.

Do not use if the bit shows any abnormality (rust, damage, etc.).

Oil the leather regularly with a vegetable oil to keep the leather supple.
