By decreasing skin irritability, this lotion prevents the horse from pulling out its mane, eliminating the sensation of tightness.

Formulated with dry oils, Animaderm Derfen Original Anti-Dermatitis Lotion does not overload sensitive skin with overly heavy or greasy actives.

Naturally rich in vitamin E (as well as D and K) and antioxidants, it also acts against damage caused by external aggressions such as sun exposure, insect bites, sweat, dust accumulation, or dirty environments.

These vitamins form a protective and sanitizing lipid microfilm that envelops the skin while allowing it to breathe.

Without neem oil or insecticides, its long-lasting effectiveness guarantees between 3 and 7 days of tranquility, even in rainy weather.

Composition

Sunflower seed oil, castor seed oil, juniper, plant extracts.

Instructions for use

Shake the bottle well before use. Part the mane and apply to the base of the mane using the applicator cap, then massage lightly.

Do not apply to sensitive areas or mucous membranes. Should never be applied daily or as a preventive measure.

Respect the intervals between each application (minimum 3 days).

Summer Dermatitis: When itching appears, apply Derfen Original to the base of the mane directly on the skin and massage lightly. Repeat the application when the horse scratches again. It is not useful and not recommended to use Derfen Original as a preventive measure.

Winter Scratching: Scratching in winter is not, by definition, "summer" dermatitis. If sometimes a mild spell in winter may lead us to think that insects are responsible, very often this is not the case. Several reasons should be considered depending on each case: phthiriasis (lice), a dietary problem (deficiency, excess, imbalance), a gastric problem (pain, ulcer), contact allergy (blanket...), medication reaction, a change leading to a state of stress... Derfen Original will significantly help to soothe the itching each time, but it will be necessary to search for the cause in order to take care of the animal in the long term.

Lice and Parasites: Very common and highly contagious, lice tend to cause intense scratching, localized on the head, mane, tail, but also the limbs (and not necessarily all at the same time). Lice are not always very visible to the naked eye due to the hair, but a sudden onset of scratching without apparent reason can be a sign of phthiriasis. In this case, contact your veterinarian for appropriate treatment.
