Description

Soft and Ultra-Durable, when combined with cotton or under-bandages, Horsena Stable bandages are ideal for relieving and aiding the recovery of muscles and tendons.

Thanks to their slightly elastic material, they provide excellent support with gentle and consistent compression.

An essential accessory in horse equipment, stable bandages serve multiple important purposes, primarily related to recovery, protection, and support of the horse’s limbs.

Key Functions of Stable Bandages:

  • Support for Tendons and Ligaments : stable bandages help support the tendons and ligaments of the limbs after intense activity, reducing the risk of strain or injury.
  • Reduction of Swelling and Inflammation : They promote blood circulation and limit fluid buildup in the limbs, preventing or reducing swelling (edema) after work or during prolonged immobilization.
  • Protection for the Limbs : Always applied over cotton or under-bandages, they protect the limbs from impacts or friction, especially when the horse is in the stable or during transport.

Instructions for use

Stable bandages must always be applied over cotton or under-bandages to avoid friction and ensure even pressure distribution.

Apply the bandage flat and evenly, with uniform tension.

Improper application can cause pressure points, irritation, or circulation issues.

Stable bandages can be used occasionally or daily but should not be left on for extended periods (typically no more than 12 hours) to avoid adverse effects on circulation.

Maintenance tips

Regularly clean the Velcro to maintain secure fastening.

Attach Velcro closures before washing.

Machine washable at 30°C.

Size guide

The only difference between a pony and a horse is size.
According to the International Equestrian Federation, an equine measuring less than 1.48 meters, not shod, is considered a pony. If it measures more than 1.48 meters, it is classified as a horse.
The pony category is divided into 4 sub-categories based on their height at the withers, not shod.
Category A = height less than 1.07 meters
Category B = height between 1.08 and 1.30 meters
Category C = height between 1.31 and 1.40 meters
Category D = height between 1.41 and 1.48 meters
